From 29th November 2012 until the spring 2013, we will be meeting at Steve's Cafe, 71 Norwood Road, Herne Hill, from 9:30am - 10:00am.

This is because the conditions may make visiting the allotment difficult, but we will be going on a trip out to a garden/ community project/ farm on these days instead, meeting at Steve's makes it easier to plan our trip as it's sheltered, close to good transport, and has tea :)

You will still need to bring a packed lunch.

196 - you can get on at Stockwell, Brixton, Tulse Hill, West Norwood, Crown Point
68 - you can get on at Elephant and Castle, Camberwell, Kings College Hospital, Tulse Hill, West Norwood
468 - you can get on at Elephant and Castle, Camberwell, Kings College Hospital, Tulse Hill, West Norwood, Crown Point
322 - you can get on at Clapham Common, Stockwell, Brixton, Tulse Hill, West Norwood, Gipsy Hill, Crystal Palace


Any of these buses, get off at the stop called 'Brockwell Park' or 'Herne Hill Station'. Walk down Norwood Road, along Brockwell Park. Steve's Cafe is next to Olly's Fish Bar.

Train;

Get off at Herne Hill station : walk down Norwood Road, along Brockwell Park. Steve's Cafe is next to Olly's Fish Bar.

(In good weather...) The Rathbone Gardening Project is on the Rosendale Allotment site at Rosendale Road near number 229 Rosendale Road, SE21 8LR. This is a picture of what the entrance looks like of the allotments;

Rosendale Road begins near Brockwell Park at the Rosendale Gate and the project is a 5-10 minute walk from there.

Buses:

There are 3 buses which stop at Turney Road which is very close to the project. These buses are;

3 - you can get on at Stockwell, Brixton and Crystal Palace
201 - you can get on at West Dulwich, Tulse Hill, Streatham

There are 4 buses that stop at Rosendale Road along Brockwell park, which is a 5-10 minute walk to the project;

196 - you can get on at Stockwell, Brixton, Tulse Hill, West Norwood, Crown Point
68 - you can get on at Elephant and Castle, Camberwell, Kings College Hospital, Tulse Hill, West Norwood

Two roads close to the allotment are called Turney Road (which is where Rosendale School and Turney School are) and Dalkeith Road. If you are near these roads you are nearly there.
